HEK293T cells are commonly used as expression vectors in cell therapy, gene therapy, and biopharmaceuticals, and are widely employed to produce proteins, vaccines, anticancer agents, and recombinant adenovirus coatings. However, HEK293T cells carry specific transformation sequences with potential safety risks, such as the adenovirus E1A sequence and SV40 large T antigen (SV40LT) sequence. Therefore, regulations require that when HEK293T cells are used for lentiviral vector preparation, methods with sufficient sensitivity and specificity must be employed to detect residual adenovirus E1 and SV40LT antigen sequences in the product.
This kit is based on quantitative real-time PCR technology, with primers and probes designed for the E1A gene and SV40LTA gene. Paired with ready-to-use E1A & SV40LTA DNA quantitative standards, it provides a rapid and highly sensitive solution for detecting and quantifying residual DNA from host cells, such as 293T cells, in biological products.
