E1A Residual DNA Detection Kit

HEK293 cells are commonly used as expression vectors in cell therapy, gene therapy, and biopharmaceuticals, playing a key role in the production of proteins, vaccines, anticancer agents, and recombinant adenovirus coatings. However, the genome of HEK293 cells contains integrated adenovirus genes, such as E1A and E1B, leading to the inevitable presence of residual E1A and E1B DNA contaminants. These impurities can reduce the efficacy of viral vector-based drugs and pose potential safety risks, including infectivity and tumorigenicity. Consequently, regulatory agencies worldwide have imposed strict limits on the amount of residual DNA in biological products.

This kit is based on quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) technology, with primers and probes designed specifically for the E1A gene. Paired with ready-to-use E1A DNA quantitative standards, it provides a fast, high-sensitivity qPCR kit for the quantification of residual E1A DNA originating from host cells such as HEK293 and 293T cells in biological products.
