DNase I

DNase I is a non-specific endonuclease that acts on single-stranded DNA, double-stranded DNA, chromatin, and RNA:DNA hybrid chains. It cleaves DNA to produce dinucleotides, trinucleotides, and oligonucleotides with 3' hydroxyl and 5' phosphate ends. It can be applied in various scenarios such as RNA extraction experiments to prepare RNA samples without DNA, and post-transcriptional processing of linearized DNA templates.
