Bsa I Restriction Enzyme

This product, Bsa I, is a type IIS restriction endonuclease, derived from a recombinant Escherichia coli expressing a mutant protein encoded by the Bacillus stearothermophilus Bsa I gene. Bsa I is commonly used for preparing linearized plasmid templates containing an intact poly(A) tail. Its recognition and cleavage sequence is shown in the diagram below:
