rcAAV-5/N Detection Kit

Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a widely used gene therapy vector and belongs to the adeno-associated virus family. rAAV is a gene vector modified from wild-type AAV. rcAAV is formed through non-homologous recombination during the production of rAAV vectors, resulting in AAVs with replication capability, namely replication-competent adeno-associated virus. The China National Medical Products Administration indicates the need for quality control of rcAAV in gene therapy products. The rcAAV-5/N Detection Kit (PCR-fluorescent probe method) can detect the contamination rate of rcAAV-5/N (N represents different serotypes) in rcAAV. This reagent kit adopts PCR-fluorescent probe method, containing two systems: the Target system for detecting rcAAV and the Reference system for detecting rAAV. The calibration standards for both systems are included in the same quantitative reference material, enabling rapid, sensitive, and specific quantitative detection of both rcAAV and rAAV simultaneously. When used in conjunction with Biori’s nucleic acid extraction or purification kit I, rcAAV can be quantitatively detected in as fast as 1.5 hours, down to a minimum of 2 copies/μL.
