Anti-Taq DNA Polymerase Antibody (242001)
Anti-Taq DNA Polymerase Antibody (242001), AS53-242001, is supplied for hot-start PCR and qPCR.

Product overview
Anti-Taq DNA Polymerase Antibody (242001) is a highly purified monoclonal antibody to Taq DNA polymerase. It can inhibit the activity of DNA polymerase, which can effectively inhibit the nonspecific annealing of primers and the nonspecific amplification caused by primer dimer at low temperature.
Anti-Taq DNA Polymerase Antibody (242001) is quickly inactivated in the initial DNA denaturation step of PCR reaction, and the activity of DNA polymerase is restored to achieve the effect of hot start PCR. It can be used under the condition of routine PCR reaction without special inactivation of antibody.
Features and applications
- High blocking efficiency
- Excellent specificity
- Suitable for various hot-start PCR and qPCR reactions based on Taq DNA Polymerase.
Protocol
Protocol
1 μg antibody could block the activity of 5-10 U Taq DNA polymerase. It is recommended to mix the antibody and the Taq DNA polymerase well and incubate at room temperature for 20 min before use. The blocking efficiency is more than 90%.

Performance data
High blocking efficiency test
AS53-242001 and a comparable Taq DNA polymerase antibody on the market were used separately to block Taq polymerase. The blocked Taq polymerases and unmodified Taq polymerase were then mixed separately with reaction buffer containing primers, a single-stranded nucleic acid template, dNTPs, and other components. The SYBR fluorescence signal was monitored in real time at 40°C to evaluate the blocking of Taq polymerase activity. The results show that Biori AS53-242001 effectively blocks Taq polymerase activity.

High-Specificity Amplification Test
AS53-242001 and a comparable Taq DNA polymerase antibody on the market were used separately to block Taq polymerase activity. The blocked Taq polymerases were then compared with unmodified Taq polymerase in qPCR amplification. The results are shown below. The Biori AS53-242001 experimental group produced higher amplification-curve fluorescence signals, indicating that Biori AS53-242001 effectively blocks Taq polymerase activity and thereby enables efficient specific amplification after activation, resulting in a higher product yield.
