Hot-start Taq and Tth DNA polymerases

How to choose

For fast cycling or crude samples, choose Robustart Fast Taq-V2 E20 or -V3 E40: 30 s activation and direct PCR from blood and swabs. Hot Start Taq E03 is chemically modified and needs 5–10 min at 95 °C. Robustart Tth E17 also has reverse-transcriptase activity in the presence of Mn²⁺, for single-enzyme RT-PCR.

LAMP master mixes (DNA targets)

How to choose

Pick the readout first: fluorescent dye, fluorescent probe, or a red-to-yellow color change read by eye. V3 mixes contain Bst HS-V3 (E105); the V3 dye mix also contains UNG for carry-over control. Every mix is available lyo-ready.

Lyophilization protectants

How to choose

Protectant-9 AS412-9 is the 4× protectant used in BIORI lyo-ready qPCR, RT-qPCR, LAMP and RT-LAMP mixes; the lyophilized FM2181-4 mix made with it kept its performance for 18 months at room temperature. Protectant-17 and -156-5 are 2× formulations for mostly DNA or mostly RNA systems; products freeze-dried with them tolerate 20–25% RH for 4 h before vacuum packing.
