Universal DNA Purification Kit
The Universal DNA Purification Kit uses a nucleic acid purification column to specifically bind DNA.

Product overview
The Universal DNA Purification Kit uses a nucleic acid purification column to specifically bind DNA. It recovers DNA fragments from TAE and TBE agarose gels, and can also be directly used to purify DNA fragments from crude DNA preparations obtained by other methods such as PCR products or restriction enzyme digestion products, removing impurities including other organic compounds, proteins, inorganic salt ions, oligonucleotide primers, and others. The DNA purified by this kit can be directly used in various applications such as restriction digestion, ligation, cloning, sequencing, and other molecular biology operations.
Features and applications
- Fast and convenient: Recovery can be completed in just over ten minutes.
- Color indicator: The color change of the indicator allows easy determination of whether the sample is ready for column centrifugation.
- Wide purification range: Capable of recovering DNA fragments ranging from 100 bp to 10 kb.
- High recovery rate: Efficient recovery across all tested fragment sizes from PCR products and agarose gels (see Data).
- Broad applications: Suitable for both TAE or TBE agarose gel extraction and PCR product purification.
- The purified DNA can be directly used for molecular biology experiments such as ligation, transformation, enzyme digestion, sequencing, hybridization, and other molecular biology applications.

Performance data
Purification recovery efficiency and quality testing results

Note: Using the Biori BR2E301, DNA fragments ranging from 100 bp to 10 kb were directly purified and recovered from PCR or digestion products. The kit demonstrated high recovery efficiency and good band integrity across all fragment sizes, meeting the requirements for various downstream applications.
Gel extraction recovery efficiency and quality testing results

Note: Agarose gel fragments containing DNA bands of 100 bp, 250 bp, 2.5 kb, 4 kb, and 10 kb were excised and purified. The results demonstrated that the kit provided efficient recovery across all tested fragment sizes. The recovered DNA was intact and of high purity, outperforming similar products from competitors.
Shipping and storage
| Condition | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Storage | The kit is stored dry at room temperature (15–30°C) for 18 months. If precipitation occurs in the solutions, they may be preheated in a 37°C water bath for 10 minutes before use to dissolve the precipitate, which does not affect performance. |
| Shipping | Shipped at room temperature. |
