AcuGenix™ Heat-labile Uracil-DNA Glycosylase (UNG)-V2
AcuGenix™ Heat-labile Uracil-DNA Glycosylase (UNG)-V2, E04-2, is supplied for contamination control.

Product overview
AcuGenix™ Heat-labile Uracil-DNA Glycosylase (UNG)-V2 is a temperature-sensitive UNG enzyme recombinantly expressed in Escherichia coli. This enzyme catalyzes the release of free uracil from uracil-containing single-stranded and double-stranded DNA, and exhibits no activity against RNA.

Features and applications
- It maintains higher activity at low temperatures ranging from 20°C to 37°C. It is heat-labile and can be efficiently inactivated at 50°C, which prevents the degradation of dUTP-containing amplicons at room temperature caused by residual activity of conventionally inactivated UNG.
- This product is recommended for anti-contamination applications in conventional PCR and RT-PCR assays.
- UNG/dUTP anti-contamination system.
