AcuGenix™ phi29 DNA Polymerase
High-Fidelity, Long-Range Isothermal DNA Polymerase for Advanced Genomic Workflows

Product overview
AcuGenix™ phi29 DNA Polymerase is a replicative DNA polymerase derived from Bacillus subtilis bacteriophage phi29, recombinantly expressed in a validated Escherichia coli strain carrying the native phi29 polymerase gene. It is engineered for high-performance isothermal amplification workflows, eliminating the need for thermal cyclers while delivering exceptional long-range synthesis capability and superior replication fidelity.
Features and applications
- Robust Strand-Displacement Activity: Efficiently displaces downstream DNA strands without helicase assistance, enabling core isothermal workflows including rolling-circle amplification (RCA) and multiple displacement amplification (MDA).
- Ultra-High Processivity: Synthesizes DNA fragments exceeding 70 kb in a single binding-elongation event, ideal for large-genome or complex repeat-region amplification.
- Intrinsic Proofreading for High Fidelity: Possesses native 3’→5’ exonuclease activity that corrects misincorporated nucleotides, delivering superior replication accuracy for downstream sequencing and cloning applications.
- True Isothermal Operation: Functions efficiently at a constant temperature, removing reliance on thermal cyclers and reducing equipment costs for resource-limited labs or point-of-care settings.
- Consistent Recombinant Quality: Produced via a rigorously controlled recombinant expression system, ensuring excellent batch-to-batch consistency, high purity, and minimal nuclease contamination.
- Genome Research: Whole-genome amplification (WGA) for single-cell, circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA), or low-input samples; metagenomic library preparation; long-range DNA template generation
- Molecular Cloning & Plasmid Production: In-vitro plasmid preparation; amplification of long or GC-rich gene fragments for cloning
- Diagnostic Assay Development: SNP genotyping; isothermal nucleic acid detection assay development; low-copy pathogen detection workflows
