AcuGenix™ NGS DNA Clean Beads
Superparamagnetic Beads for Standardized, High-Recovery Nucleic Acid Purification & Size Selection

Product overview
AcuGenix™ NGS DNA Clean Beads leverage a high-performance superparamagnetic bead matrix coupled with an optimized buffer system to enable efficient, reproducible purification and size selection of nucleic acid fragments. At defined bead-to-sample ratios, the beads selectively bind target fragments, allowing precise recovery of user-defined size ranges. The kit follows the same validated operating procedure as the industry gold-standard AMPure XP Beads, making it a seamless drop-in replacement for existing NGS workflows. It supports both manual experimental operation and high-throughput workflows on all major automated liquid-handling workstations.
Features and applications
- Precise Size-Selective Recovery: Adjustable fragment selection via bead-to-sample ratio tuning, enabling efficient recovery of target nucleic acid size ranges for diverse NGS applications.
- Industry-Standard Workflow Compatibility: Identical operating procedure to AMPure XP Beads, requiring no protocol re-optimization for existing workflows.
- Broad Kit Compatibility: Fully compatible with DNA and RNA library preparation kits from all major NGS vendors.
- Manual & Automated Adaptability: Supports both manual benchtop operation and high-throughput workflows on leading automated liquid handling platforms, accommodating varying throughput requirements.
- High Reproducibility: Batch-to-batch consistency ensures reliable, uniform purification results across experiments.
- Post-step purification for NGS library construction (post-fragmentation, post-ligation, post-amplification)
- Size selection for whole-genome sequencing (WGS), whole-exon sequencing (WES), RNA-seq, and targeted sequencing libraries
- Cleanup of PCR products, enzymatic reaction products, and low-input nucleic acid samples

High purification recovery efficiency

Note: BR3N401 is the catalog number for AcuGenix™ NGS DNA Clean Beads. >85% recovery is a premium industry benchmark for NGS library purification, minimizing nucleic acid loss for low-input samples.
Bead Ratio and Input Flexibility

High recovery efficiency

Ratio-dependent Fragment Enrichment

(A) Single-sided recovery assay. A 2-kb DNA marker was purified with BR3N401 at incrementally increasing bead ratios (0.5×–2.2×). Electrophoresis revealed a stepwise shift in dominant fragment size, confirming ratio-dependent cutoff tuning and the beads' intrinsic bias toward larger DNA fragments.
(B) Double-sided size-selection assay. A 2-kb DNA marker was processed with BR3N401 using a two-step, double-sided selection workflow: a first bead ratio (1.0×–0.45×) was applied to bind and remove fragments above the upper cutoff, and a second ratio (0.1×–0.3×) was then added to the supernatant to bind and recover fragments within the desired size window. Electrophoresis showed a progressive upward shift of the recovered fragment range as the first ratio decreased, yielding discrete, narrowed band windows instead of the inclusive recovery observed in single-sided selection. Together, panels A and B demonstrate that BR3N401 supports both ratio-tunable single-sided recovery and precise windowed (double-sided) size selection, with consistent preferential binding toward longer DNA fragments.
Note: Lower bead ratios increase the minimum fragment size threshold for binding, the core principle of NGS library size selection.
Size-selection Parity with AMPure XP

Note: Full-range parity confirms BR3N401 is fully compatible with all AMPure XP-dependent library preparation workflows.
